Chat GPT-4 Week 5 NFL Picks
Directly from *Smarter* Artificial Intelligence
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! For those of you who are still alive in the #CircaSurvivor Pool, then it’s your lucky day. Just last week, OpenAI’s ChatGPT underwent an official upgrade on its GPT-4 model, which can now browse and download files from the internet. This will provide an even BETTER outlook for survivor picks this week, as it will provide the most up-to-date content possible. For those who picked the Green Bay Packers to win last week because of ChatGPT, then that’s pretty brutal. However, it’s not my picks, it’s AI’s. Let’s hope the updated AI can do a better job this week. Without further ado, let’s get straight into the picks of the week!
Favorite Pick – Buffalo Bills over Jacksonville Jaguars
Starting with the favorite pick of the week, we have a really tough matchup. Personally, I would put this pick under the “riskiest pick” of the week, but I’m only the messenger here. ChatGPT cites two things in picking the Bills over the Jags this week:
1. StrongRoster
2. RecentPerformance
The Bills have an incredibly strong roster, that looks to be meshing more and more as the season continues. The Bills proved to still be in the “Contender” tier in the NFL after last week’s big win against the Miami Dolphins. The only issue that I can see with this pick is if QB Josh Allen fails to stay consistent. While I would say he is currently an elite-tier quarterback, he needs to keep bringing the heat week in and week out. I like this pick.
Riskiest Pick – Cincinnati Bengals over Arizona Cardinals
Going into this season, I would’ve never thought the Arizona Cardinals, led by career backup, Josh Dobbs, would ever be competitive with any team. Many experts had the Cardinals locked in for the first pick this year, all of whom are being proven incorrect as the Cardinals keep proving the doubters wrong. Cincinnati has looked incredibly shaky with Joe Burrow’s calf strain injury and is officially on the hot seat for the playoffs. ChatGPT gives these reasons for the pick:
1. Inconsistency
2. QB Performance
If Josh Dobbs can keep up his play, then I truly believe this game is up in the air. The Bengals really need this win, however, and I could see them showing the world that the Bengals are still the Bengals.
Least Favorite Pick – Carolina Panthers over Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions are officially a lock for the NFC North. These are not the Lions that we’re used to seeing in years past, as they look to rack up another win against a less-than-formidable opponent. The reasons ChatGPT gave for this pick is as follows:
1. Rookie Quarterback
2. Coaching
Lions coach, Dan Campbell, is slowly cementing himself as a top 5 coach in the NFL and is truly no match for Frank Reich. With Bryce Young also looking like one of the worst QB picks in last year’s NFL Draft, I would not be surprised to see the Lions light up the Panthers this Sunday in Detroit.
